Details of the offer

Requirements for Appointment
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized university.
2. Minimum of three (6) years practice experience (post admission).
3. Must be a registered Advocate of the High Court with a valid practicing license.
4. Experience in preparing policy related briefings and presenting policy proposals.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Creative, innovative and computer literate.
7. Must be a member of Law Society of Kenya.
8. Satisfy Chapter 6 requirements of the Constitution of Kenya.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Representing the Board and any other assigned legal suite in court and any other ADRs
2. Conduct legal research on the implementation of relevant statutes and proposals
3. Conduct legal research and render a legal opinion on the efficacy of legal matters
4. Conduct legal duties on the applicable Labour and Industrial Relations law
5. Conduct legal duties on the applicable domestic and international law
6. Review and analyze different issues pertaining to Criminal, Civil, Investments and trade law.
7. Adjudication of cases related to the privatization process, commercial transactions between parties.
Ownership claims, negotiation between parties and liquidation procedures.
8. Draft legal documents, letters to parties, orders, decisions, judgments and their corresponding court documents.
9. Any other duty as assigned by County Chief Officer
