Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
Registering library users;
Collating user requests;
Accessioning, stamping and labeling of the acquired information resources;
Shelving and shelf arrangement;
Preparing materials for binding and file pockets;
Spine marking, fixing book jackets;
Preparing and cataloguing press cuttings;
Filling catalogue cards;
Receiving new materials, compiling lists of overdue resources;
Serials control and tracking;
Entering metadata in the database;
Compiling user statistics; and
Any other duty assigned.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:-
Bea Kenyan Citizen;
Bachelor's degree in Library Studies/Library and Information Science, Information Science;
Certificate in computer applications.
