We are a privately owned food manufacturing and distribution company which deals with Ice Cream, Yogurt, Sauces, Biscuit Cones and Pastry Products and we also supply and install ice cream equipment. We are based in Nairobi and supply across Kenya.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Should be punctual in reporting to work and take full responsibility of assigned duties.
• Recording daily reading for factory utilities e.g. Water, Electricity, Fuel for Generator etc.
• Execute the daily Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities as per the PM Schedule and detect abnormalities on equipment for rectification.
• Update job cards and machine history cards of PM/Breakdowns.
• Execute planned maintenance activities, condition monitoring and other preventative tasks to support both production and shutdown schedules.
• Diagnose faults and ensuring timely repairs of factory equipment with minimal downtime.
• Active participation on factory expansion projects and estimate the bill of materials as per the project.
• Training of machine operators on handling of equipment and general maintenance.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Work on general electrical wiring systems.
• Any other maintenance work assigned by the Maintenance Manager
Knowledge/Experience/Qualification/Skills

Age:
25 to 35 years
•
Knowledge:
Knowledge in the following areas is a bonus: Packing & Filling Lines, Gearbox, Pumps, Homogenizers, Heat Exchangers, Refrigeration System (Evaporators & Compressors), Electrical Control Panels, PLCs, Servo Drives, Air Compressors.

Experience:
3+ Years in Maintenance filed in Dairy or Food Related Industry

Qualification:
Diploma or Certificate in (Mechanical, Refrigeration, Electrical)
•
Skills:
Work with Minimal Supervision, Problem Solving, Team Work and Communication Skills
