Job Description

Surge Energy Limited is a leading LPG Cylinder manufacturing Company located in Kisaju along the Nairobi- Namanga Highway in Kajiado County.

Duties and Responsibilities.
• Manage all engineering activities within the department including design, development, and production and testing.
• Implement and oversee overall engineering objectives and initiatives.
• Assist in the development, design and solicitation of design approval from the approving body for new and existing products.
• Provide technical support to production in manufacturing processes, work process specifications, technical controls, maintenance, equipment, tooling and tool room support
• Ensure that the Technical department is structured in line with business needs and that staff is recruited, trained and developed.
• Adhere to standards that meet demands placed on the department and ensure a high level of quality advice and service to the production department
• Maintain customer satisfaction and compliance with national and international requirements at minimal costs
• Manage a cohesive Engineering and Maintenance team that embraces the change and continuous improvement of equipment and processes
• Maintain world class approach to safety, quality and maintenance
• Strategically plan for the technical support of year over year increases in capacity and productivity
• Oversee development and maintenance of engineering staff competence.
• Establish scientific and technical goals working with upper management and customers.

Qualifications.
Master’s degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical engineering or any related engineering course.
Minimum 10 years’ experience as an engineer in a manufacturing company.
