Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of quality Body, Hair care and Baby care products with their headquarters in Uganda. As part of their strategy to expand and structure their rapidly growing business in Kenya, our client seeks to recruit a Marketing Operations Manager to be based in Nairobi, Kenya. This role will report directly to the General Manager, Kenya. The successful candidate’s overall responsibilities will be;
Executing consumer and shopper marketing activity as directed by HO Marketing to enable achievement of Advertising & Promotion, social media, corporate social responsibility plans are executed effectively to achieve targets (e.g., number of hits, share of voice, POP excellence) in designated territory or country.
Effectively implementing agreed activity grid details and 3 P (Placement, promotion and POP) plans to support the brands on the shelf and at the consumer level in country.
Ensuring that brand equities are preserved and exploited effectively with the advertising agency(s), public relations and media houses to achieve (1) above.

Responsibilities
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The M O M is responsible and accountable for the following Core job elements:
Effective execution of shopper and consumer promotion plan details in the country.

Provide Head Office Marketing with support in the development of and execute consumer premium, value pack, temporary price reduction and other promotions.

Manage broadcast and social media purchasing, placement of point of purchase materials to the best advantage in the country as directed by H O Marketing.

Manage endorsement worthy relationships and events in the country as may be directed by Head Office Marketing.

Supervise all in country base line research (shopper, consumer, trade) as may be directed by HO Marketing; conduct analytics of shopper and consumer trend data to surface actionable insights.

Provide local input into HO strategies.
CORRESPONSAL RELATIONSHIP:
The M O M has the responsibility of meeting regularly with functional managers from the following areas:

Country Sales Manager and team

Finance, customer Services & Logistics.
EDUCATIONAL
AND COLLATERAL REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of an undergraduate degree in marketing or business-related field from an accredited University. A professional marketing qualification will be an added advantage.

At least four years’ experience in brand, consumer or shopper marketing management and or sales experience in the personal care or beauty industry. Media planning and buying, execution excellence in the trade demonstrated by a track record of strong business results.

A keen entrepreneurial spirit, ‘street smarts’, analytical mind will be key. Good communication and reporting skills are required.

Strong distributive and Salon trade relations will be an added advantage
