Description
As a Mechanical Fitter, your primary purpose is to play a critical role in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of key mechanical components that drive the success of our operations. You will be responsible for fabricating, fitting, installing, and aligning structures, static equipment, and rotating equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless integration of machinery and infrastructure, ensuring that every component operates efficiently and safely. With a strong focus on precision and teamwork, you will be at the heart of maintaining the operational excellence of our projects.
Key responsibilities
Operational Management
Analyzing blueprints for mechanical systems to determine the specifications of components to be constructed.
Constructing structural components from raw materials.
Inspecting fabricated components to ensure accuracy in size.
Installation of mechanical parts, including structure, rotating, and stationary equipment, as per procedures.
Achieving daily targets and weekly work plans with tools and equipment.
Providing daily work briefings to team members and ensuring daily housekeeping.
Adhering to all work site safety rules and regulations.
Planning
Arranging tools and equipment in the store.
Reporting damaged tools or tools required for future work.
People and Relationship Management
Instilling a "one family" culture and serving as an ambassador for the business's vision, mission, and values.
Budget Management
Taking care of all site tools, equipment, and PPE.
HSEQ
Following HSEQ procedures at all times.
Compliance
Adhering to company policies, standard operating procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.
Other Duties
Performing any other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Qualification: NITA/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Work Experience: 5–10 Years of Experience
IT Skills: Basic
Language: Fluent in written and spoken English and Kiswahili
