Job Description
MentorKenya School Programme is a give back to society volunteer programme which implements several educational interventions which are geared towards an improved academic performance in primary and secondary schools.
The programme is currently in Chala Division, Taveta Sub County in Taita Taveta County. The programme is solely a volunteer based programme and wish to attracts 2 Program Assistants residing in Chala Division as no travelling allowances will be given.
So when applying, have in mind that this is a volunteer program.
Among the many responsibilities of the mentors are:
1. Implementing educational interventions in schools
2. Adopting 2 schools by visiting the schools twice a week.
3. Mentoring and motivating learners
4. Managing the materials and program resources
5. Reporting of the program activities to Edutech Board
6. Carrying out sensitization forums for students, parents and Board of management
7. Managing program mentors, trainers and school counsellors.
8. Collect reports from trainers, school counsellors and mentors, compiling them into weekly, monthly and termly reports
9. Assist the program manager with resource mobilization, writing of concept papers and proposals.
10. Ensuring that the school programme is effectively delivered
11. Any other role assigned.
