Job Purpose
The resource mobilization officers are responsible for conceptualizing and developing new programs to deepen partner relationships and also provide advice on all policies and strategies relating to Partnership development and resource mobilization in order to help the Agency realize its mandate. An officer at this level will work under the supervision and guidance of a senior officer
Job Specifications
Implementing policies, frameworks, strategies and plans on partnership and resource mobilization;
Reviewing proposals for resource mobilization;
Facilitating negotiations, development and review of institutional agreements in accordance with the Agency policies;
Ensuring maintenance of comprehensive database of partners, agreements, MoUs for funding in the Agency;
Maintaining local, regional and global strategic alliances and institutional linkages;
Liaising with other internal departments to align partnerships with the mandate of the Agency;
Identifying potential sources of funding from development partners, government, corporate, non-governmental organizations, foundations, and trusts.
Participating in mobilization of resources from the government, private sector, development partners and other sources;
Identifying strategic projects/programs to development partners funding programs;
Guiding and ensuring adherence to terms and conditions set in partnership agreements;
Reporting on disbursement and absorption/utilization of partner funds; and
Generating of requisite reports.
Person Specification
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
Cumulative service period of nine (9) years' work experience three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Senior Partnership and Resource Mobilization Officer or in a comparable position;
Bachelor's degree in any of the following field: Finance, Economics, International Development Studies, Business Administration, Business management, International Relations management, Marketing, Communication or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
Membership to a relevant professional body in good standing where applicable;
Certified qualification in relevant field from a recognized Institution where applicable;
Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution;
Proficiency in Computer applications.
