Job Summary:This is a full-time role for a Product Manager at Pesapal, located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Product Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and enhancement of our payment and business tools. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, develop product roadmaps, and oversee product launches.Key Responsibilities:Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, product requirements and roadmap development, and product launch.Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams.Monitoring the market and developing competitive analyses and metrics to assess product and feature success.Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.Analyse market data to develop sales strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communications.Collaborate closely with technical, marketing, and sales teams in developing, QA, and releasing products, as well as balancing resources to ensure success for the entire organization.Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Pesapal Products in the marketDevelop a complete product requirements document as well as templates for reference.Work on prioritizing new features for the technical team based on usability, functionality, and user experience.Support in designing a proper pricing model based on competition analysis.Maintain a complete backlog of all the activities, processes, and workflows of all the relevant teams, stakeholders, and any external influencers and consultants.Responsible for developing metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements.Education/Experience Needed:3 + years of experience as a product manager in a software development environment.Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies and knowledge of consumer marketing analyticsExtensive knowledge of various product functions and the software development process.Ability to work in an Agile Environment.Ability to mentor and develop others.Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycleHigh effectiveness in working with cross-functional teamsA deep understanding of the product vision, product launch, and Minimum Viable Product concepts.Skills and Abilities Required:Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to adapt well to change and successfully set and adjust priorities as needed.Good planning, detail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsProblem-solving skills and resourceful thinkingAttention to detail and analytically driven.
