Production Technician: Cosmetics, Personal And Household Care Products

Responsibilities
1. Product design and formulation
2. Manufacturing of pilot batches
3. Planning production schedules
4. Laboratory and factory management
5. Conducting efficacy and stability tests for newly developed products
6. Carrying out Quality control of manufactured products
7. Sample monitoring and testing of processed products
8. Ensure production output are in compliance with the quality and regulatory standards
9. Acquiring regulatory certifications for newly developed products e.g. KEBS
10. Establishing quality control standards
11. Product benchmarking and reverse engineering
12. Root cause analysis for different manufacturing problems
13. Management and Coordination of material inputs required for the production
14. Manage allocation of production workers for the production activities
15. Guide the sourcing of raw materials and determining their quality
Key skills
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering- Chemical and process Engineering, Production engineering or related degrees
2. 1+ years’ experience in product design & formulation. Experience in manufacturing cosmetic, personal and household products –A must
3. Adept in process optimization
4. Mechanical aptitude to perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment
The Production Technician will be tasked with performing duties in line with the manufacturing of quality personal and household care products by ensuring the set-up, operation, monitoring and minor maintenance of manufacturing equipment in a safe and productive manner. One will be working closely with co-workers and the Shift Coach in developing processes, and SOPs for each product in the company’s line.
