A reputable private hospital in Kenya, is looking to recruit a Quality Improvement and Risk Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direction, coordination, and oversight of quality improvement at the hospital. He or she will be in charge of establishing and maintaining efficient and reliable mechanisms for monitoring, analysis, and reporting of quality outcomes and performance improvement initiatives, in alignment with regulatory standards and healthcare best practices for quality improvement and patient safety. The ideal candidate must have experience in the implementation of JCI accreditation standard.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Health care Administration, Nursing or a relevant clinical discipline with evidence of additional training in Performance Improvement and Quality.
Proven experience as a Quality Improvement and Risk Manager in a well-established hospital.
MUST have experience in the development and implementation of JCI standard.
Senior health management experience.
Outstanding team motivation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
Provide expertise in Quality Improvement and Risk Management to support, facilitate and guide the implementation of Excellence in care
Assess and prepare timescales, create collaborative arrangements for quality improvement projects
Monitoring and preventing risks associated with clinical practice, evaluating a range of approache
Provide training to various cadre of staff across the hospital and be able to demonstrate skills a
Provide monthly briefs outlining progress against agreed deliverables.
Identify areas for improvement and make written recommendations with reference to improvement meth
Analyze multi-factorial data emerging from clinicians, managers, leaders, and service users which
Be fully accountable for own practice and take reasonable opportunity to sustain and improve the k
Support and influence the multi-disciplinary team in relation to quality improvement.
Implement hospital and national health and safety policy and procedures and report clinical incide
Prepare and deliver periodic audit/clinical reports.
Assist in internal and external benchmarking against best practice, and to challenge performance
