AIR's IDD work spans the globe with projects in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, Central and Latin America, and the Middle East.Our IDD team is committed and engaged because we drive positive change in the following areas:Agriculture, food, and nutritionE arly childhood development and educationRefugees and migrationSocial protectionWater, sanitation, and infrastructureWomen's empowermentW orkforce developmentUse your experience, knowledge, and education to help us deliver on our mission: to contribute to a better, more equitable world.This position will be located out of AIR's office in Nairobi, Kenya.ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities for the position include:Collect, compile, validate, interpret, and analyze data and trends using standard practices and techniques,Perform computer modeling or simulation or simple to moderately complex forecasting using standard software packages,Apply quantitative analysis techniques and methods,Work on moderately complex assignments under indirect supervision,Conduct literature reviews and write sections of proposals and deliverables,Responsible for maintaining and checking the accuracy of data for assigned projects,Communicate project support needs and requests to senior management and clientele, provide administrative support where applicable,Utilize external resources to supplement, organize, and contribute to tasks and projects,Budget management and developmentQualificationsEducation, Knowledge, and Experience:Bachelor's degree in the social sciences, statistics, quantitative methods, or related fieldExperience with STATA, SAS, R or survey researchExperience with word processing, spreadsheet, and database softwareSkillsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgroundsStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently on detailed assignmentsFlexible, self-motivating and able to manage multiple tasks efficientlyExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate efficiently in a virtual work environmentFluency in any of the following languages is a plus but not required: Spanish, French, Arabic or Portuguese
