Radiation Therapy

Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography and Higher Diploma in Radiotherapy

Bachelors in Radiography with Therapy Pathway or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Certificate in BLS and computer applications from a recognized institution.

Experience of one year in a busy Hospital of busy Radiography Center will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

Receiving and identifying patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures;
Performing diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and procedures in Therapy Radiography;

Verifying and maintaining information related to patients;

Caring and counseling patients and their guardians before, during and after examination;

Maintaining radiation therapy equipment and their accessories;

Implementing quality assurance programs; requisitioning and maintaining records of radiotherapy commodities; counseling cancer patients;

Assist in brachytherapy applications;

Assist in complex treatment planning and treatment delivery;

Perform without supervision mould room applications;

Ensuring radiation safety within the health facility.

Maintenance of personal professional competency and participation in the continued professional development by self-study, attendance at scientific meetings, and participation in internal training programs
