Details of the offer

Requirements for appointmentFor appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

vi. Be a Kenyan citizen;

vii. Be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Science/Library Sciences/ Record Management

or equivalent qualifications from a recognized University;

viii. Diploma in ICT with a bias in record keeping from a recognized institution will be added advantage;

ix. Shown outstanding professional competence and administrative ability in the management of record

functions.

Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities will include:i. Ensuring security of files and documents.

i. Renewing file covers

ii. Ensuring proper handling of documents.

iii. Pending correspondence and bring-ups

iv. Receiving and dispatching letters and maintaining related registers.

v. Preparing disposal schedules and disposing dead files in accordance with relevant Government

regulations.

vi. Supervising the management of records at the Ward and level and further to the Community Area for

appropriate referencing;

vii. Conduct scanning functions of records and upload onto the ERP platform for universal access; and

viii. Any other lawful duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements
Required education
: Bachelor's degree

Required relevant work experience
: 2 years

Required languages:
English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
