Experience and technical competencies
Master’s degree International studies, Social Sciences, Humanitarian/Development studies, Information Management, Statistics or a related field
5-7 years of experience involving research and information management, evidence building and analysis
Strong knowledge of the socio-economic and political dynamics of the region; more specifically on displacement trends with a demonstrated ability to manage politically sensitive contexts
Solid experience in capacity development of a wide range of actors including adult learning, mentoring and coaching, training of trainers and impact monitoring of capacity development activities
Strong analytical and writing skills with proven experience in producing high quality research and policy briefs with ability to present complex information in a simple and accessible manner
Strong experience in translating evidence and research into programming and policy guidance
Good IT command, close familiarity with the maintenance and management of template-style websites and experience of applying ICT (information communications technology) to knowledge management
Flexibility, proactive engagement, ability to work under pressure and to demonstrate high tolerance for change, complexity and unpredictability

Manage ReDSS research and analysis portfolio
Lead and implement ReDSS regional research portfolio based on agreed upon priority themes and ensure linkages between ReDSS research and policy and capacity development work
Provide technical advice and quality insurance on research processes at country levels including management of research consultancies and the production and dissemination of quality reports in line with ReDSS research standard operating procedures
Support the development of influencing and dissemination strategies and monitor the uptake of ReDSS research and evidence to inform and improve programming and policy dialogue
Develop database of ReDSS internal publications at regional and country levels as well as ensure ReDSS website is updated with recent external publications on displacement and durable solutions
Act as the focal point for ReDSS on external research partnerships and coordination including participation in technical advisory groups
Manage ReDSS capacity development work
Lead and implement ReDSS capacity development strategy in line with ReDSS learning Strategic Framework
Lead and organize regional and country level trainings including further development of training module, TOT, adaptation to online and remote learning, and update trainings ‘calendar,
Ensure quality control, report on ReDSS capacity development learning and challenges, analyze and document impacts, and update indicators to adequately capture adult learning, progress over time, etc
Provide support to ReDSS members and external stakeholders on request and tailor trainings and learning sessions
Promote cross learning between countries in the region and peer learning through building a network of technical/ pool of durable solutions experts
