Job summary
We are looking for a Regional Supply Chain
Manager to oversee cross country supply chain operations in Tanzania, Rwanda
and Kenya, with the potential of more countries in future. An ideal candidate has had experience working
in supply chain in East Africa, has strong analytical skills, and ability to manage
a team across various countries. This individual would be responsible for
delivering on supply chain goals, and ensuring that all of our policies and
protocols are followed. Supply chain is essential to our operations and this
individual would also liaise with all of our international suppliers to ensure goods
get into each country. This role may be based in Dar-es-Salaam or Nairobi.

- Data driven: We make smart decisions based on data and analytics
- Strong relationships: We have strong relationships with all of our suppliers, local and international
Duties and responsibilities
1. Regional
role overseeing our current supply chain operations in TZ, KE, and RW
2. Manage
international relationships and orders for consumables / capital procurement
3. Ensuring
all supply chain policies and standards are in place and followed across countries
4. Continuously
develop and improve supply chain processes, policies, etc
5. Provide
country level assistance
o Implementation of new policies
o Ensure goods are imported properly, all
documents are saved appropriately
o Auditing across countries (e.g., pricing, quantities
/ usage, system)
o Serve as point of contact for country level
supply chain operations
o Assist with analysis for cross country comparison
6. Lead
supply chain analytics
o Annual forecasting consumables and spend
o Anticipate supply chain issues
o Manage costs across countries
o Answer strategic questions (e.g.,
outsourcing distribution)
o Assist with new country supply chain
7. Auditing
o Review country supply chain activities and
audit systems
o Audit the various trackers our supply chain
team uses
8. Logistics
o Work on cross country clearing processes
& advise on needs cross country
9. Set
up and improve of policies & process (e.g., new products, new suppliers /
partnerships, fixed assets)
Requirements
Relevant bachelor’s degrees (i.e., supply
chain & logistics)
5+ years with regional experience in supply
chain
2+ years experience managing a team
(3+ people)
Must have experience using supply
chain software
Must have experience with
international importation of goods across the region
Strong analytical background and excel
skills required
Experience with healthcare supply
chain preferred
Strategic thinker who will push
forward the strategic objectives of the organization
Strong communication ability with
experience manage senior level relationships at suppliers
Fluency in English required
