The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:Identifying problems/areas for possible research;Drafting proposals for research studies;Inducting personnel to be involved in the various activities of the research studies;Development of instruments for data collection;Validation of instruments and compiling validation reports;Training of data collectors;Security printing and storage of data collection instruments;Drawing work plans and budgets for research studies;Participating in data collection, entry, cleaning, and analysis;Report writing and dissemination of findings and recommendations to stakeholders;Carrying out quality checks on the research procedures.Person SpecificationsFor appointment to this grade, an officer must have:Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Education, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Planning, Project Management, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;Proficiency in computer applications;Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution only for the successful applicants.Key Competencies, Skills, and AttributesIntegrity;Planning skills;Analytical skills;Communication and reporting skills;Interpersonal skills;Team player.
