Road Material Technician

• Be a Kenyan citizen.• Diploma in soil laboratory technician/occupation grade test for material technician from ministry of

transport and infrastructure.

• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

• Proficiency in computer applications

• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Responsibilities

• Sampling, Testing and inspecting soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt and structural steelplacement

• Performing calculations and data reduction of test results along with drafting

• Using field screening equipment and documenting readings

• Interacting and communicating daily with contractors, technicians and roads engineers.

• Preparing geological and construction samples.

• Drying, crushing and preserving samples for testing and cleaning of work areas and equipment.

• Assisting in field and sampling investigation.
