Key Responsibilities:
Sales Functions:
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with NGOs, institutions, and large-scale farms.
Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and support.
Tender & RFQ Management:
Monitor and respond to relevant tenders and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) from government agencies, NGOs, and other institutions.
Analyze tender documents to assess feasibility and strategic alignment.
Sales Execution:
Present and promote products/services to clients.
Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and contracts.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities.
Order Fulfilment Functions:
Order Processing:
Accurately process customer orders using ERP/CRM systems.
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels to prevent delays or stockouts.
Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status and delivery schedules.
Customer Support:
Handle field sales inquiries and provide after-sales support.
Resolve order discrepancies or delivery issues promptly.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Agribusiness, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and order fulfilment within the agricultural sector.
Proven track record in identifying, pursuing, and securing tenders and RFQs, particularly with NGOs and institutional clients in Kenya.
Experience with order processing and coordination.
Skills:
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with CRM software is an advantage.
Fluency in English and Swahili.
