We work with the world's best refurbishing companies to offer our products in Kenya and soon across all of Africa and we have local operations out of Nairobi - supported by a globally distributed technology team.The PositionTitle:          Sales Force ManagerSeniority: ManagerReporting to: MoPhones Sales DirectorLocation:    Nairobi, KenyaDescriptionWe are seeking a results-driven and tech-savvy Sales Force Manager to manage commission based online sales agents to drive sales volume and revenue through digital channels of Mo Phones loans to customers, select strong sales prospects for credit approvals, and manage their portfolio of existing customers.
This role combines sales expertise with a deep understanding of online platforms, customer data, and digital tools to identify leads, nurture prospects, and close sales.
Your ultimate goal is to grow the business by building a successful online team with high sales productivity, long term retention, and strong credit portfolios, adding 300-500 good customers to our loan base month on month.
You will be responsible for both support and performance management in your leadership, so the position requires both empathy in giving support and motivating and firmness in holding your team accountable.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in online sales management, a knack for recruiting and motivating top talent, and a keen understanding of credit risk management.Responsibilities1.
Team Leadership & Management:Recruit, train, and onboard new sales agents.Provide ongoing support, mentorship, and coaching to the sales team.Foster a positive and motivating work environment to keep agents engaged and productive.Set clear expectations, goals, and performance standards for agents.2.
Digital Sales Strategy & Execution:Understanding of digital social channels i.e., Facebook, Instagram and TikTok as a platform for selling.Content creation on the digital social channels, to drive engagement and lead to prospects.Understanding of digital analytics, to assist in improvement of the digital social channels in generating prospects. Offer feedback and input to help the sales team develop strategies, which you will then implement to achieve company targetsMonitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet goals.3.
Credit Risk Management:Educate agents on the importance of selecting customers who are likely to pass credit screening.Monitor the quality of credit portfolios managed by agents and provide guidance on improving repayment.Hold agents accountable for the performance of their credit portfolios and ensure adherence to company credit policies.4.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:Regularly track and report on individual and team performance metrics.Provide constructive feedback to agents.Implement corrective actions or disciplinary measures for underperforming agents.5.
Recruitment & Retention:Identify and attract top-performing sales agents.Implement retention strategies to reduce agent turnover.Build a strong pipeline of potential new agents to ensure continuous team growth.6.
Customer Relationship Management:Support agents in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.Address customer concerns or issues that arise through the sales process.Ensure that agents provide exceptional customer service and uphold the reputation of MoPhones.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.Proven experience in sales management, preferably in a commission-based environment.Strong understanding of digital selling landscapeStrong leadership and people management skills.Excellent understanding of credit risk management.Ability to motivate, coach, and mentor a diverse team.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
