Job Description/Requirements
Our client (a market leader in their field) is looking for a Sales Manager will report to the General Sales Manager. He/She will be responsible for heading and controlling the Sales Function in an assigned territory in a consistent and effective manner. Must be willing to travel extensively (15-20 days a month).
Responsibilities
• Responsible for Sales Volumes, Market Share and accountable for primary and secondary targets including preparation of monthly sales projections for the respective Territory/Region
• Preparing strategic business plans for respective Territory/Region.
• Identifying opportunities to increase market share in different product segments.
• Gather relevant Market Intelligence in terms of pricing and competition including conducting Market Research Survey.
• New product development and venturing into strategic partnerships.
• Handling, developing, innovating the market to increase horizontal and vertical growth.
• Handle all the marketing activities related to each of the product categories.
• Handling Product launches, road shows, promotions and advert. Campaigns.
• To plan design and initiate new sales & distribution projects.
• Design and standardize sales processes, performance indicators across all channels.
• Responsible for setting KPI’s, KRA’s and conducting appraisals for assigned sales team and taking corrective action against non-performing team member
• Responsible for taking corrective action against non-performing team member.
• Sales team capability enhancement/impart training.
• Link between categories and sales team on planning, forecasting, trade promotions etc.
• Understanding and control of sales cost optimization and ensuring effective distribution cost/expenses within the zone.
Qualifications
• Bachelor in Business Management, Sales, Marketing or any other relevant field
• At least five (3-5) years’ experience in a similar role.
