Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Develop a pipeline of sales for the hotel including accommodation, conferencing etc.
b) Process enquiries by phone, email and customer visits in relation to the hotel.
c) In liaison with hotel Manager and finance team, negotiates the terms of an agreement and closes sales.
d) Makes accurate, rapid cost calculations and provides customers with quotations as required.
e) Ensure that all complaints by customers are addressed immediately and settled.
f) Maintains and develops relationships with new and existing customers in person, via telephone calls and emails.
g) Reviews sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
h) Provide feedback from customers to enhance service delivery.
i) Ensure that guest accounts are properly posted and maintained.
j) Oversees the proper input of all reservations in the computer.
k) Looks out for prequalification and tenders advertisements, completes them and submits for business.
l) Advertise and create awareness of the hotel.
m) Remains current on room rates, room availability and emergency procedures.
n) Produces management reports as per the company specification.
o) Produces monthly and weekly sales reports.
p) Represents the hotel at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
q) Develops ideas for marketing the hotel and its facilities to meet and exceed targets.
r) Should contribute to the morale and team spirit of the hotel by maintaining good relationships with colleagues.
s) Make appropriate suggestions and recommendations to Hotel manager for general improvement of the hotel.
Special Working Conditions
Able to work weekends, holidays & during special events as needed
Experience:
At least 3 years experience in Hotel and/or Hospitality sales (Conferences, travel packages, school packages etc).
Education:
At least a C average or credit pass in ‘O’ level.
Diploma in sales and marketing or Tour Travel operations
Knowledge:
Knowledge of Marketing , customer service principles and practice.
Good working knowledge of Ms Office.
Skills:
