Job Summary

We are seeking to hire Sales Reps in-charge of sales and distribution who will be responsible for ensuring market expansion and growing sales. S/He will be responsible for following up / closing sales, building on client relationships and working hand in hand with other departments in ensuring timely service delivery to clients.

Job Description

We are an established manufacturing company, operating in Nairobi with intent of strengthening our sales team.
To this end, we have identified a vacant position that needs to be filled immediately.

Reporting to
the Directors/ General Manager / Operations Manager/ Team Supervisor

Purpose of role
• Responsible for ensuring availability and distribution of our products across various markets’
• Increasing and maintaining our market share.
• Maintain customer relations and perform market research to ensure we understand our customer needs.
• Responsible for performing demos of products where required

Key Result Areas (KRAs) (Role and Responsibilities)
o Identifying and finding new leads on customers: creating and maintaining an active customer funnel list
o Identifying progressive live opportunities
o Negotiating pricing
o Flow up and closing of sales
o Maintaining customer relationships

Desired Candidate Profile
• Candidate must have 2 - 4 years’ experience in field sales and at least 1.5yrs in Hardware sales.
• Experience in hardware / technical sales; will be an added advantage
• A Diploma/Degree in an Engineering or related field will be an added advantage
• Diploma/Degree in Sales and Marketing
• Welding experience will be an added advantage
• Driving license will be an added advantage
• Must have a certificate of good conduct
• Any other relevant qualifications will be a plus
• Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate problem solving skills
• Team player with good interpersonal skills and high integrity.
• Demonstrated good communication skills
• Willingness to be trained
• Able to work under minimum supervision and a self-starter
• Experience in different sales roles will be an added advantage
• Good understanding of the MS Word and MS Excel
• Smart phone
