About the Role
The Sales Team Leader reports to the Head of Sales & Distribution of poa! internet and is responsible for all sales activity within a defined region.
You will be responsible for managing the team of sales people to deliver the overall sales target for your area. An area is currently one of the network locations where poa! operates. Currently poa! Internet is live in the following areas, Kibera (including Jamuhuri estate), Kawangware (including Satelitte and Kabiria), Waithaka, Dagoretti, Kinoo, Githunguri and Kiambu (including Kirigiti, Ting’ang’a and Ndumberi).
Qualifications
You

must be eligible to work within Kenya.You

will have a minimum of 1 years related experience (ideally in the

telecommunications, internet or subscription services industry).
You must have managed a successful team and be able to demonstrate
effective management and delegation techniques.You must be able to demonstrate “owning a sales
number” and show how you achieved success.

Responsibilities

Overall Responsibility
• Be accountable for delivering the sales target for your area on a monthly basis.
• Own the daily pipeline for your entire team ensuring quality qualifying of all prospects from all sales people and update the sales pipeline sheet currently on Dropbox daily.

• Own the “sales efficiency” KPI for your area, with target of one sale per person per day.

• Ensure every sales person is trained and actively managed to deliver.

• Provide accurate and timely reporting to your manager.

Technical you will;
• Have demonstrable knowledge of solution selling techniques

Financial you will';

• Ensure that you and your team are operating as cost efficiently as possible
• Be accountable for the honesty and integrity of your team

Communication

• Have exceptional interpersonal skills capable of influencing and delivering results in a highly cross functional role.
• Be a convincing and credible sales person able to influence and encourage purchase

• Be a hands-on leader, offering coaching and a productive approach to the success of your team

• Be out in the field and never an “office-based manager”

• Drive a culture of openness, honesty, integrity across your organisation, encouraging discussion, debate, ideas and collaboration.

• Have a structured and clear communication style to share and get buy in on complex issuies and messages.

Marketing & Development

• Execute any marketing campaign from a sales perspective in the field to ensure successful deployment for marketing.
• Offer timely and structured feedback on what’s working and not working from your team.

• Be KPI and metric driven in all aspects of your business

Strategy
• Execute on the Sales Strategy as defined by your Manager.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting mechanisms to demonstrate success from a sales perspective

General Management
• Be a proactive, self-motivated providing direction on what is required for success.
• Be a great team manager, actively coaching and developing to ensure the best possible performance from your team.

• Be directly experienced in managing large teams of sales people (over 10) to demonstrable success.

• Be capable of effectively matrix managing across different teams to deliver on your sales targets.

• Work directly with key decision makers across the company on specific projects, and not relying on “bosses” to solve issues and problems.

• Encourage and develop collaboration and problem solving across all levels of the company by being a key advocate of such style with everyone.

• Embrace our culture of delivery and holding people to account at all times, never using excuses that it was someone else’s fault

• Achieve results through effective delegation of tasks across indirect resources

Job Requirements
Required education
: Bachelor's degree

Required relevant work experience
: 18 months

Required languages:
English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
