Hilltop Preparatory School is a leading mixed private primary school (day & boarding) in cosmopolitan Kitale; Trans Nzoia County. We are located 5kms away from town in a serene farm environment. (www.hilltop.sc.ke). We provide a rich and wholistic program that enables every child to achieve his or her potential in a safe, serene and homely environment. We are keen to recruit a Security Supervisor to enhance general security of the pupils, school property and premises.
Roles and Responsibilities include;
• Ensure general security of the pupils, school property and premises.
• Provide oversight and leadership for all security staff.
• Interviews, hires, and trains security staff.
• Oversee patrol and monitoring of school buildings, staff quarters, farm, and auxiliary premises.
• Conduct investigations and prepare incident reports.
• Coordinate security guard schedule and placement.
• Supervise and direct pupil and staff movement during odd hours and emergencies.
• Evaluating and analyzing security operations to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee security during special events, examinations, and public functions.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies (Area chief, police) etc on security matters affecting the school and locality.
• Ensure the Occurrence Book (OB) is filled daily and reviewed by management as needed.
• Coordinate screening of all visitors before entry and upon exit of the school premises.
• Prepare and submit a monthly security report to the Managing Director.
• Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Required Skills & Qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years prior experience as a supervisor / in-charge with similar level of responsibility and duties.
• Prior working experience in the security sector (Police, Prisons or Military) will be an added advantage.
• Extensive knowledge of security protocol and procedures.
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide training on security policies and procedures.
• Ability to work with confidential and classified information.
• Proficient with Microsoft office suite or related software’s.
• Valid certificate of good conduct.
• Valid driving license Class B C E.
