Job Description

Our Client, an established and well-known brand in the key services sector
in the region, is
looking to identify a Senior Finance Officer to strengthen
the support capacity and efficiency of the Finance department.

Reporting to
the Chief Accountant, the Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for coordination
of division financial operations and maintenance of up to date financial
transactions, provision of comprehensive financial and management accounting to
service functions and departments within the division.

KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES

·
Prepare, manage, implement and monitor the
division's budget revenue, expenditure and capex.
·
Develop and analyze financial performance
providing advice and practical support o planning, budgeting and reporting.
·
Ensure operational and capital expenditure
are in line with the budget and industry standards.
·
Prepare and record asset, liability,
revenue and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
·
Participate in the design and implementation
of specific systems to enhance revenue and operating efficiency.
·
Supervise the general accounting
transactions, monthly closing process for financial statement preparation.
·
Manage and reconcile all the billings and
Invoices revenue accounts in the general ledger.
· Oversee the accounts receivable operations
of the division, encompassing billing, customer patient coding, charge entry,
claims submissions, accounts receivable reconciliation, and customer / patient
refund management.
·
Analyze cost information and prepare
operating control requests.
· Ensure accurate processing and payment of
all supplier and doctor’s invoices, ensuring proper posting of supplier
invoices & doctor’s invoices, petty cash vouchers, advance payments and
supplier account reconciliation and ensure proper filling of all supplier
documentation.
· Ensure clearing and suspense accounts are
documented and balances cleared within 30 days.
· Comply with revenue and treasury
accounting standards, regulations and control systems to ensure safety of
revenue collected and invested funds.
· Ensure compliance with relevant statutory,
industry and regulatory requirements pertaining to the divisions business.

KEY
QUALIFICATIONS

·
A Bachelor of Commerce, Business
Administration or related degree with a major in accounting.
·
CPA (K) or equivalent qualification
·
At least 7 years progressive working
experience in accounting, with at least 3 years at a senior level.
·
Expert knowledge of accounting, auditing
and financial management reporting
·
Strong decisions making, analytical and
planning skills.
