What you'll be doing:
Accountable for the accuracy of the Inventory balance in the Financial Statements of the company. Responsibilities include supporting the businesses’ Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning process and compiling, analyzing and reporting inventory data and preparing analysis for the Inventory Management Board. In addition, this position works closely with Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance staff to develop action plans that support the businesses’ strategic and tactical inventory objectives.

Key responsibilities:
Inventory

Assist Finance Manager preparing deck for monthly inventory management board, issue minutes and actions and follow up on actions to ensure they are closed before the following meeting.

Attend annual wall to wall stock count and ensure counts correctly uploaded into E1. Review and investigate significant discrepancies.

Prepare monthly inventory variance analysis and provide meaningful insight into the numbers.

Liaise with FSC (Genpact) to ensure inventory transactions and inventory balances are properly recorded and reconciled. Help ensure issues are resolved within 90 days maximum.

Partner with Marketing and Commercial Operations teams to ensure excess products are flowed before they become non saleable.

Partner with Supply Chain,DCand Marketing to ensure stock expiring is flowed before it expires.

Partner with Supply Chain and Marketing identifying stock to be sold at Staff shop and Clearance sales.

Support Beauty Centres with Quarterly stock takes and identifying excess stock to be returned to the DC.

Ensure obsolescence provisions are in line with global policy requirements and adequately cover risks in inventory valuation. Review in transit stock monthly for obsolescence risk.

Drive form D process (destruction of expired and non saleable inventory) in compliance with global policy.

Ensure inventory reporting on Hyperion is accurate for month end close, forecasts and plan.

Deal with ad hoc requests relating to inventory from various departments and teams across the business, locally and internationally.

Ensure adequate controls in place for inventory in line with the Avon Control matrix, test and report on compliance as required.

Calculate Sell Through Rate monthly in line with obsolescence provision policy.

Monitor Inventory adjustments on a weekly basis, investigate significant adjustments, ensure Inventory Adjustments summary are signed off monthly.

Support Supply Chain with inventory discrepancies, follow up and ensure discrepancy reports are cleared before wall to wall stock take.

Liaise with Supply Chain monthly ensuring TPM stock are correctly recorded in E1 system.

We'd love you to have:
Degree in Financial / Management / Cost Accounting or equivalent
3 – 5 years in a Inventory/Costing environment
Strong financial, analytical, organizing and time management skills
