Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer to lead the design, implementation, and management of monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems across our programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking program performance, ensuring data quality, generating evidence-based insights, and supporting strategic decision-making to enhance program effectiveness and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks aligned with organizational and donor requirements.
Design and manage data collection tools, methodologies, and reporting systems.
Lead routine monitoring activities to track program outputs, outcomes, and impact indicators.
Ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of program data through regular audits and verification processes.
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations.
Coordinate baseline, midline, endline, and impact evaluations.
Support program teams in developing logical frameworks, results frameworks, and performance indicators.
Provide technical guidance and capacity building to staff on M&E systems, data collection, and data management.
Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements and organizational standards.
Identify lessons learned, best practices, and opportunities for program improvement.
Collaborate with program, finance, and management teams to strengthen evidence-based planning and decision-making.
Manage and maintain M&E databases and information management systems.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
Master's Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a related discipline is an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in monitoring and evaluation, research, data analysis, or program performance management.
Demonstrated experience working with donor-funded projects, NGOs, government programs, or development organizations.
Strong experience in designing M&E frameworks and conducting evaluations.
Proficiency in statistical and data analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, KoboToolbox, ODK, or similar platforms.
