DEPARTMENT OF ROADS, TRANSPORT, PUBLIC WORKS AND ENERGY

Job Title SENIOR PRINCIPAL SUPERINTENDING ENGINEER (STRUCTURAL) OR SENIOR PRINCIPAL SUPERINTENDING QUANTITY SU
Job Group Name CPSB 03

Specify Job Description below:
i. Planning, design, supervision of construction , contracts , material
investigation and research related to building and other structures i.e.
footbridges in county
ii. Control and supervision of staff and financial control in public work
iii. Administrative matters, procurement, financial control;
iv. Ensuring sufficiency of design and contract drawing ;
v. Implementation of design standards and procedures;
Vi. In charge of all architectural, engineering and quantity surveying services.

Specify Job Qualification below:
i. Served in the grade of principal Superintending Engineer
(Structural) or principal Superintending Quantity Surveyor or principal
Superintending Architect for at least three (3) years.
ii. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or quantity survey or architecture;
iii. Master degree in relevant field will be an added advantage;
iv. Must be a registered member by relevant professional body;
v. Knowledge in MS project computer aided design software.
vi. Attended a Strategic Leadership Development Course lasting not less than six
(6) weeks from a recognized institution
vii. Current valid annual practicing license from the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya
