market leading vendor of forensic and security software solutions and
professional services for the Security, Police and Corporate markets,
having already established ourselves as the “Number 1” in the Military
market for our solutions with patented technologies. The company has a
strong and growing reputation in the UK and world-wide markets and has entered a major growth phase in its overseas development. As a result, there is a need to recruit a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in our Kenya office to support our growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform manual and automated tests on the company products within each sprint/build for both desktop and web apps.
Participate in sprint planning meeting to understand the feature being developed and how it will work, create notes and BDD tests, and act as key contact for that feature to disseminate the information to other team members.
Define and document test strategy, test plans and test cases by evaluating functional and non-functional requirements to provide full coverage for the product, business applications and other content.
Develop a strong understanding of the products and domain to perform hands-on testing from a technical and forensic standpoint.
Log product defects, work with development teams to establish defect validity, manage their status changes and provide updates to the team on a regular basis and retest as required.
Define and document test strategy, test plans and test cases by evaluating functional and non-functional requirements.
Design, develop and maintain test suites providing full coverage for components, applications and other content.
Raise and communicate concerns, red alerts early in the project if they would impact quality and launch timing.
Provide technical support and training to customers and distributors during sales and post sales.
Support the sales team with pre-sales technical consultancy – attend conferences, run demonstrations and WebEx meetings.
Requirements
At least 2 years' experience working in software development environment.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Knowledge of using bug tracking and Test case management tools.
Understanding of non-functional testing and experience in performance testing.
Experience with multiple types of testing e.g.
regression testing, ad hoc testing, feature testing, user acceptance
testing, user interface testing, integration testing, performance
testing, etc
Bachelor’s degree in IT related discipline is a plus.
Candidate must have:
Ability to understand and learn new hardware, software tools and techniques
Ability to self-manage and organize
yourself thoroughly, a fantastic work attitude, solid presentation
skills, good written and oral communication skills, competent industry
skills.
Be a team player and ideally have experience of working with technical teams and people.
A passion for technology.
Be able to grasp and understand digital forensics quickly.
