This post is located in the office of the Director of the Ecosystems Division at the Nairobi headquarters duty station.

Education
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in environmental or social sciences, business or public administration, management, economics or a related fieldA first-level university degree in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying professional work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree

Work Experience
At least seven (7) years of professional working experience of which two (2) are at an international level preferably relating to sustainable development and/or environmental related issues is required.
Experience working in a front or coordinating office, supporting senior level managers or cross functional teams is highly desirable.
Work experience within the United Nations context or similar organization is desirable.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations SecretariatFor the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is requiredWorking knowledge of another United Nations official language is an added advantage.
Assessment
Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.
