A successful candidate will have the following:
FH is seeking an experienced Sr. Internal Auditor professional to evaluate internal control activities of field offices and our global service center. The qualified candidate will have 4 years of external or internal audit experience (performance of fraud investigations is a plus), a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, internal audit, compliance, risk management, or similar area. Certification is strongly preferred, such as CIA, CPA, CFE or related certifications, and:
A vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a Christian commitment to serving the poor, and in full agreement with FH's Christian beliefs.
General awareness of the Institute of Internal Auditors' Global Internal Audit Standards.
Ability to assess business risks and recognize red flags for fraud in a global organization.
Strong intercultural communication skills, able to acclimate to the various national environments in which FH operates.
High integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics.
General awareness of risk management and compliance processes and practices.
Ability to perform compliance reviews and develop a system that ensures effective compliance with donor and country regulations.
Basic understanding of an organizational strategic planning process.
Experience with US Government regulations is a plus, such as the 2 CFR 200, as well as other multinational and private donor regulations.
Proficiency in spoken and written English; Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
Ability to write professional reports and business correspondence succinctly
Ability to travel up to 15% of time domestically and internationally, to insecure countries or locations.
