Job DescriptionSR Product Developer KenyaAs a scientist you will coordinate and manage the customer product development projects, supporting the development process from the generation of concepts to creation of laboratory samples, through to industrial manufacturing. Supporting and leading product and trial fillings at the customer site. Focus on beverage and sweet food applications.Within the role you:fully understand ADM Nutrition's product and service portfoliocreate, further develop and maintain a local/regional product portfoliosupport the African business development plan from the technical sitefollow and understand the business strategy of regional and local key accountsprovide guidance and technical support on final product formulation and manufacturing to our commercial team for our African customersset goals and priorities to achieve goalsProcessing of sample orders in the IT systemSensory and physical assessment, control and qualification of developmentsProvision of the corresponding samples for shipment to national and international customers, for consumer tests and trade fairsReview of ingredients (vitamins, minerals, flavors, colors, etc.) and appropriate adaptation of formulations in compliance with cost and quality specificationsSolid mathematical knowledgeCompliance with and monitoring of ISO processes, including the fulfillment of assigned rotating laboratory tasksCompliance with and monitoring of internal and legal requirements and guidelines for hygiene, occupational safety, food safety and environmental protectionSupport and participation in customer presentations and internal product presentationscollaborate and communicate between departments across EMEA, including our development headquarters and technical service team, other application labs and the commercial team.You haveBS Degree or MS Degree in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry or Pharmacista minimum of 5 years' experience in food and beverage industrya strong background and experience in product development and application of beverage and foodfood and beverage manufacturing experience and are (ideally)well networked in the industryexcellent project management skillsthe ability to think about, assess and shape the future of individuals, teams and the organization; you understand how an organization needs to change in the face of internal and external trends and influences; you develop with others a shared long-term vision for the organization; you advocate for action to achieve long-term goals and influence others to make the vision a realityexcellent written and spoken English.
