Supplier Relations Officer

Mr. Green Africa (MGA) is expanding operations into Kisumu Town in Quarter 1 of 2020.The Supplier Relations Officer (SRO) will be in charge of engaging new MGA suppliers, and retainingand monitoring those suppliers who sell plastic materials to Mr. Green Africa in Kisumu. The SROwill also be responsible for identifying, training and supporting Mr. Green Africa ‘agents’ in Kisumu.The SRO will oversee tasks delegated by the Sourcing Department and Sourcing and MarketingManager as outlined below

Responsibilities

Engaging New Suppliers? Understand the local plastics market and major ‘players’

? Lead in the acquisition of MGA suppliers (small, big and big big) in Kisumu

? Utilize the MGA marketing strategy to attract new suppliers

? Assist in the development of strategies to attract new suppliers that might not traditionally

engage in the plastics business (schools, churches, general population)

Retaining Current Suppliers

? Lead in retaining current MGA suppliers in Kisumu

? Assist in the development and implementation of promotions and programs to retain

suppliers

? Visit current suppliers on a weekly basis to identify supplier issues and concerns, and gather

market information

? Coordinate the picking up of plastics from Big Suppliers when needed

Monitoring Suppliers

? Use MGA data collection tools to track the performance of suppliers

? Use MGA tools to forecast weekly supply of materials to the MGA Trading Point and MGA

Agents

? Map suppliers (small, big and big big suppliers) in Kisumu

Developing MGA Agent Model

? Identify potential suppliers who can become MGA Agents in Kisumu

? Support the training and onboarding of potential Agents

? Monitor and support Agents as needed

Job Requirements
Required education
: Bachelor's degree

Required relevant work experience
: 2 years
