Job Ad & Profile Description Position : Supply Chain ManagerWe are looking for a self motivated individual with a degree or masters in supply chain management or related field and a proven relevant experience of a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar position. He/she will be responsible for directing, coordinating, purchasing, warehousing, distribution and financial forecasting services or activities to limit cost and improve accuracy and safety within the company. Knowledge of wide site installations, experience with ERP program and knowledge of Microsoft office suites and other procurement software are key added advantages.PURPOSE OF THE JOB Responsible for directing, coordinating purchasing, warehousing, distribution, and financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy and safety. To also provide logistics support for in-country operations including the supply chain, asset management and liaising with all departments for logistics & directing the movement, storage, or processing of inventory to raise the efficiency of the department and increase their cost-effectiveness.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESReview or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.Negotiate good prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.Ensures the timely delivery and supply of products at the lowest possible cost:Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.Implement new or improved supply chain processes.Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses (3PL) and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.Identify opportunities to reuse or recycle materials to minimize consumption of new materials, minimize waste, or to convert wastes to by-products.Provide operational support and guidance to ensure maximum productivity.Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps.Prepare and submit weekly reports.Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed.Handle communications with external suppliers.Focus on safety, cost management and business growth in all interactions and directives.Handle all importation needs, ordering and timely delivery.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo ensure strict adherence of company’s Healthy, Safety & Working environment, and absolute rules at all times.To report and document any incident or accident occurred.Follow safety and hazardous instructions before start of work.Ensure a clean Environment.Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESOversee all jobs linked to supply chain to ensure they are carried out effectively.Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.Train and mentor Supply Chain Management employees.GENERAL DUTIESAny other duties that may be assigned.KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORSCreate and manage a comprehensive database.Well managed and motivated staffWell implemented policies and proceduresWell managed and control on costTimely reporting on all Supply chain activitiesTimely submission of reportsPrompt and appropriate reporting (Written and Verbal)Strictly Adherence to Supply chain cycle timeTimely delivery of goods and services requested by the various department.Excellent care and management of materials delivered.Zero Record of theft of goods in transit.Update of documents, forms, and database.Strict adherence to safety and health procedures at all time.Meeting the KPI specifications. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONSA Degree or master’s in supply chain management or related fieldAn equivalent combination of training and experienceDriver License.EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar position Experience in inventory/stock/supplies management.
