We have an excellent opportunity for experiencedTechnical Training Managerto identify the training needs of the technicians, take stock of technical skills & then plan & execute the training courses so that the technicians would be able to achieve desired level of productivity & quality at workplace.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this role must have the following qualification, experience and skills:
Either a Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering or extensive and specialized training in Automotive / machinery

Automobile/Mechanical Engineering with sound knowledge of electronics available onboard new generation vehicles.

10 years in service field of automotive/heavy or industrial machinery industry, out of this, 4 years should be as training instructor.

Problem solving, activity planning & organising, team building, communication, technical acumen and probing.

Leadership, analytical, planning, organising, team building, communication, application of new knowledge and new concepts

Responsibilities

Specifically, your key responsibilities are as follows:
Technical Training:
Job holder attend technical training courses held by the manufacturer regularly to update and enhance his knowledge of the new vehicle features and new models to subsequently deliver training.

To propose, coordinate and follow up Computer based trainings provided by the manufacturer for the relevant technician at the location to enhance their technical knowledge.

Identify Training Needs:
To identify training needs for service personnel at all the levels through assessments / written tests and prepare development plans to improve their technical skills and knowledge.

Development and Planning of Training Courses:
To develop new training courses as per the identified training needs to upgrade and enhance the technical knowledge of all concerned staff

Job holder to assess the technician’s competence identifies the gap and prepares a development plan and coordinates the technician trainings to achieve the necessary competence.

Technical Reporting:
To raise technical report in the prescribed format on all technical issues requiring manufacturer information and assistance.

To do an in-depth analysis of the technical problem reported, handle all queries raised by the manufacturer, and arrange to send the parts concerned for technical material analysis to enable the manufacturer to resolve the problem.

To constantly monitor the warranty replacement of parts of all range of vehicles, especially new model vehicles to identify the pattern of failures and advise manufacturer for resolution

Recommendations on tools and Equipment :
To identify the requirement of hand tools, special tools and workshop equipment and discuss with Service Operations Manager for procurement to ensure availability of necessary tools and equipment at all locations to run the service and repair jobs efficiently.

Diagnostic Support:
Job holder ensures to provide diagnostic support for all technical issues encountered by technicians at the locations, by either visiting them or telephonically in the shortest possible time to ensure customer satisfaction.
