Our Client, National Housing Corporation (NHC) is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament Cap. 117 whose mandate is to implement the Government’s Housing Policies and Programmes. NHC is seeking to recruit results-driven and highly motivated individuals to fill the following exciting and challenging positions ofTechnician Engineer.
The Technical Operations Division consists of the following sections: Engineering, Quantity survey, Land survey, and Architecture. Combined, these sections deliver on the mandate of the division; namely: land surveying and title documentation, project evaluation, designing of housing projects, and project management.
Reporting to the Factory Manager, the Technician Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Interpret civil and structural designs;
Manage panels production processes in the factory workshop;
Measure and mix raw materials to conform with set production standards;
Supervise machine operators, artisans, and craftsmen;
Control the assembly line and works-in-progress;
Maintain assembly equipment and machinery; and
Ensure general cleanliness of the work areas in the workshop and personnel safety.
Requirements
Job Specifications
Be a holder of a Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering;
Have five (5) years experience working in a production line in a factory setting;
Must be registered as a Technician Engineer by the Engineers Registration Board (ERB);
Possess basic electrical engineering and electronics knowledge; and
Ability to work with automated computerized production systems.

Ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates will be required to satisfy the following additional requirements:
Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority;
Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board;
Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations;
Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau; and
Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission

Grade 07 - Gross: Ksh. 74,953 - 106,283 Per monthGrade month
All positions will be on a three (3) year renewable contract.
Successful candidates will be subject to performance contracting.
