Assist the Senior Technician in monitoring product levels in dump tanks and the interceptor as required and arrange for their off-loading as directed by the Station Controller.
Technician (Operations) - Grade KPC 9
Technicians in this cadre may be deployed to perform duties in any of the following functional areas:
**a) Job Specifications
Shift**
i. Assist the Senior Technician in monitoring product levels in dump tanks and the interceptor as required and arrange for their off-loading as directed by the Station Controller.
ii. Maintain checks on the field equipment status and good in-house keeping and keep a log in a clear manner.
iii. Assist the Senior Technician in monitoring line pressure and pump parameters and liaises with NCC on the same for smooth operations of the line.
iv. Raise defect notifications to relevant sections to attend to defective equipment.
v. Report incidences and unusual events to various levels of authority as appropriate.
vi. Maintain and record shift events in the logbook in clear manner.
Tank Farm
i. Assist the Senior Technician in raising equipment defect reports to facilitate timely repair.
ii. Assist the Senior Technician in carrying out maintenance and other related activities in Tank Farm and Plant areas.
iii. Assist the Senior Technician in maintaining up to date record of outstanding equipment defect.
iv. Ensure proper housekeeping of plant area
v. Assist the Senior Technician during products tank draining programme.
Loading
i. Assist the Senior Technician in maintaining an update record of trucks.
ii. Assist the Senior Technician in ensuring records pertaining to loading are properly maintained.
iii. Assist the Senior Technician in maintaining record of stored transactions
iv. Assist the Senior Technician in preparing daily, weekly and monthly deliveries reports.
v. Assist the Senior Technician in daily reconciliation of product movements.
b) Person Specification
For appointment to this grade, a person must have:
i. Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or its recognized equivalent.
ii. Proficiency in Computer applications.
