Technology Associate - Service Design

Region : Nairobi
Reporting to : Senior Manager Service Design- MFS
Department : Technology Division - Service Platforms
Responsibilities
Deployment, configuration and/or support of systems in production or pre-production environments.
Design, configure, and support service platforms infrastructure.
Software development/scripting with preference given to Java, PHP, PYTHON, SQL.
Resolving customers related issues.
Testing of software upgrades and assisting with documentation
Supporting service design and operations team on all task related to project delivery.
Requirements elicitation, analysis, planning and implementation
Academic/ Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information systems management, information technology, computer science or related fields with at least one semester/quarter remaining after internship.
Must be available for full-time role.
Must be in good academic standing.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Professional Knowledge
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in IT environment
Familiarity of mobile money, payments, banking and relevant standards
with charging, messaging, and VAS systems in general.
Familiarity with telecommunications grade hardware & and best practices in these domains.
Familiarity software platforms, integration management, network design & implementation, operation and maintenance methods and procedures.
Familiarity with the Agile Software Development Methodology.
Excellent communication skills.
Familiar with database, unix/linux shell scripting and IP network administration..
Business analysis skills and experience.
Working knowledge and hands-on experience on database platforms.
Working knowledge and hands-on experience on applications development & Unix/Linux shell scripting.
Working knowledge on network administration.
