Our client is an FMCG Company in Kenya, dealing with consumer item activities.
They seek to hire a Trade Marketing
manager to lead and execute the strategic planning process for the assigned
brands, in line with the broader short and long-term marketing strategy.
Role Purpose
They ideal person
will develop and maintain the brand’s image and formulate
marketing and communication plans to generate, maintain and increase existing
business. Ensures
consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues in the Key accounts (selected
Modern Trade and Customers) and Resellers (where applicable).
Responsibilities:
·
Identifies
objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales
and earnings.
·
Develop, Plan, Implement and Overseeing Trade Marketing activities in the
region
·
Oversee
trade marketing activities to grow brand presence to include brand activations, merchandising and
POS placement
·
Acquire
a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
·
Planning,
forecasting, and setting of targets and evaluating the performance of the
stockists
·
Building
sustainable relationship with our Key partners in the channel to ensure
business growth.
·
Recruit and manage the trade managers to plan and
implement marketing campaigns, especially for new brands
·
Work
closely with the Resellers teams and in the regions to develop the business by
ensuring optimum listing, offering sales support and coaching to trading
partners
·
Monitors
competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products,
new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc
Qualifications:
·
Bachelor’s
degree in Marketing or Business-related field of study
·
6+
years of experience in marketing function in an FMCG distribution
company
·
3 years’ experience leading BTL Marketing/ Channel Marketing /
Trade Marketing teams
·
Strong
account management and relationship building skills.
·
Experience
of managing major national accounts at head office level.
·
Excellent
proposal writing, project management and analytical skills.
·
Excellent
team working and team developing ability
·
Innovative,
creative and able to formulate strategies and concepts.
·
Proactive
and assertive approach
·
Strong
relational and networking skills
·
Strong
time management skills and self-motivation skills
·
Strong
planning and execution skills; able to meet strict deadlines under minimal supervision.
