As a Transport and Logistics Officer, your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth, timely, and accurate dispatch of goods and related documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Order Processing:
Confirm and approve sales orders before dispatch.
Dispatch Planning & Execution:
Plan and coordinate daily dispatch activities.
Ensure all dispatches are executed by 6:00 AM daily.
Logistics Coordination:
Supervise loading activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Send sales invoices to relevant parties before dispatch.
Delivery Tracking & Communication:
Maintain real-time communication with drivers.
Ensure drivers submit a signed and stamped delivery note via the reporting group before leaving client premises.
Confirm successful delivery and instruct drivers to depart the delivery point only after note confirmation.
ERP and Documentation Management:
Update delivery statuses accurately in the ERP system.
Scan and upload all signed delivery notes promptly into the ERP for record-keeping and audit purposes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a logistics, transport coordination, or supply chain role (preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to work under pressure and meet early morning deadlines.
