Job Description

Job Summary
The Treasury/Management Accountant will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for safeguarding the company’s cash through enforcement of treasury control procedures and inventory and production costing. Plan and manage the effective utilization of the company’s cash by performing tasks such as preparation of financial forecasts, monitoring cash-flows and generating financial reports of actual against forecasts as well as managing foreign currency risk

Key Responsibilities
• Manage liquidity across the Company’s different accounts by monitoring bank balances
• Project cash flows and provide analysis of cash movements
• Carefully monitor capital controls, and any other factors that may inhibit the ability of the Company to move funds freely
• Manage relationships with all trading parties including banks to ensure no disruption to business
• Daily, weekly, monthly review of profitability across all traded currencies Monitor interbank rates and movement of the major currencies
• Tax compliance
• Lead implementation of corrective actions for issues identified by internal and/or external audits reports in relation to treasury
• Review and enforce credit control policies; debtor management, monitoring, etc.
• Ensure accurate Inventory Costing in the ERP as per policies and procedures.
• Monitoring of production process costing in the ERP as per policies and procedures.
• Generating cost accounting reports e.g. landed costs of materials, production process costing product pricing requirements, etc.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
• CPA (K) / ACCA or its equivalent and Member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants
• At least five (5) years’ experience in a similar role
• Familiar with use of MS Office, in particular advanced Excel skills, Conversant with accounting software Sage
• Have a high sense of accuracy, attention for detail and with strong analytical ability
• Have good numeracy, problem analysis and reporting skills
• Demonstrate a high degree of sensitivity, confidentiality when dealing with internal and external matters.
