The Role
Each driver will be expected to deliver the LPG products as directed, either from the main distribution center in Kabati to Proto's various distribution stations around the country or from the distribution stations to smaller distributors and retailers. This delivery will be done in a timely and professional manner in accordance with the logistics team's direction. Additionally, the drivers will be expected to facilitate the sales function by cultivating good relationships with the clients and possibly growing the business by acquiring new clients.
RequirementsAt least 2 years' experience driving professionally
A valid Driver's License - with BCE for trucks, FG for tuktuks
A valid certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)
Certification of good health from a hospital or medical professional
Strong communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
Intelligent, with a professional yet personable nature
Ability to think critically and analytically towards solving problems
Previous sales experience is an added advantage
Benefits
This role pays between Kes. 25,000 and Kes. 30,000 per month. For exceptional performance on the sales aspect of the role, there is also the possibility of a commission on sales.
Responsibilities
Loading, transporting, and delivering LPG and other products to distribution stations or specified clients in a safe, timely manner
Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
Occasionally accepting payments for delivered items
Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients
Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
