REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT - NON-TEACHING POSITIONS

NON-TEACHING POSITIONS

UNIVERSITY LIBRARY SERVICES

Grade 15 One (1) Position MSU/ADM/LD/01/20

Requirements:
A PhD degree in Library and Information Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized University; OR
A Master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences or equivalent from a recognized University;
A Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Sciences or equivalent from a recognized University;
At least Twelve (12) years relevant cumulative work experience in a well-established and automated library, Five (5) of which must have been at the level of Deputy Librarian Grade 14 or an equivalent position in a comparable Institution;
A minimum of Three (3) articles in peer reviewed journals or Chapters in a book(s).
A registered member of a relevant professional body;
Must have presented papers in conferences/ workshops;
Proficiency in ERP modules;
Compliant with Chapter Six of the Constitution.
