Our client, a high-end lodge in the outskirts of Nairobi is looking to recruit Waiters.

Job Description/Requirements

The ideal candidate(s) will ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service. He/she will be tasked with taking orders, serving food & drinks, billing and removing dinnerware from the table in a timely manner. The successful candidate Must have at least 3 years in a high-end restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome and seating guests, in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintaining the dining area in a clean and presentable condition at all times.
• Ensure Crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and polished before service.
• To ensure that customers are correctly charged as required, present the bill and take payment from the customer, in accordance with the procedures of the establishment.
• Assisting in Food/Beverage cost control, Household and Stationery control, electricity, water, and gas.
• Participate in outdoor meal set-up, as per meal service and ensure, clearance and closed down procedures are adhered to.
• Be totally familiar with the composition of the menu items for the day before the start of meal service.
• Control breakages of operating equipment and participate in stock taking as required.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality.
•Musthave a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high-end restaurant.
• Good oral and written communication skills (English& Swahili).
•Musthave good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• He/she should be a good team player.
•Musthave excellent customer care skills.
• Willing to learn and very flexible.

Monthly Gross Salary:Kes 40,000 (Approx. 400 USD)
Career Level:Junior Level.

Location:Nanyuki, Kenya.
