Waiter

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality.

Musthave a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high-end restaurant.

Good oral and written communication skills (English& Swahili).

Musthave good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

He/she should be a good team player.

Musthave excellent customer care skills.

Willing to learn and very flexible.

Responsibilities

Welcome and seating guests, in a friendly and professional manner.

Maintaining the dining area in a clean and presentable condition at all times.

Ensure Crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and polished before service.

To ensure that customers are correctly charged as required, present the bill and take payment from the customer, in accordance with the procedures of the establishment.

Assisting in Food/Beverage cost control, Household and Stationery control, electricity, water, and gas.

Participate in outdoor meal set-up, as per meal service and ensure, clearance and closed down procedures are adhered to.

Be totally familiar with the composition of the menu items for the day before the start of meal service.

Control breakages of operating equipment and participate in stock-taking as required.
