Job Description/Requirements

Surge Energy Limited is a leading LPG Cylinder manufacturing Company located in Kisaju along the Nairobi- Namanga Highway in Kajiado County.

Duties and Responsibilities.
Task Management.
• Welding of LPG cylinder metal parts using gas welding equipment as per specified standard layout, welding diagram, or work order.
• Selecting torch, torch tip, filler rod and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of metal.
• Connecting regulator valves and hoses to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders, and welding torch.
• Turning regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lighting torch and adjusting gas mixture and pressure, to obtain desired flame based on knowledge of gas welding techniques.
• Examining weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Repairing broken or cracked metal objects, filling holes and building up metal.
• Cutting metal plates or structural shapes using gas torch.
• Ensure the standard operating procedures are followed.
• Performing repairs of socket, body, foot ring and guard ring.

Qualifications.
• Welding/Grade Test certificate with at least 2 years’ experience.
• Sufficient knowledge about SAW, MIG & ARC welding.
