Job Summary
Our client, a group of companies that are in different sectors i.e. Engineering, Construction, Oil & Gas, Agriculture, Security and Medical Equipment’s are seeking to recruit a Workshop Manager to be based in Nairobi. The ideal candidate must have managed and led a team in the allocation of workload and managing the day to day operations in the workshop. Additionally, the successful candidate must have a solid technical background in the Automotive Industry.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee workshop operations.
• Research, forecast and order spare parts for specific jobs.
• Ensure service and productivity are maintained in accordance with work schedules.
• Supervise and follow up on actual progress on each individual repair job.
• Providing all fields with the technical assistance that they require from the Workshop.
• Manage the maintenance of workshop facilities and fixed equipment.
• Coordinate and manage the safety and compliance of subcontractors.
• Regularly report progress on each job and quickly communicate delays or concerns.
• Identify client’s needs and explain/demonstrate the companies services to them.
• Investigate customer complaints arising from repairs and maintenance carried out.
• Ensure that clients are accurately and promptly invoiced.
Qualifications:
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Automotive.
• Must have a solid technical background in the Automotive Industry.
• Must have 6 years’ experience in which 3 years are in supervisory/managerial level.
• Must have good planning and organizational skills.
• Must have prior experience working as a shop manager in a Technical/Engineering industry.
Monthly Gross Salary: Ksh. 120,000 – 140,000/= (Approx. (1,200 – 1,400 USD) depending on individual skills and experience.
Career Level: Lower Mid-Level.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma Certificate.
Location: Nairobi, Kenya.
