Specific ResponsibilitiesConduct diagnosis tests and troubleshooting to truck failures.Monitor & manage AM schedule checks from all truck drivers and upload the forms and actions on the established platforms.Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to boost MTBF and ensure above 95% truck and equipment uptime.Raise purchase requests and follow up with procurement on purchase orders raised to ensure spare parts are delivered within the agreed timelines.Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users.Keep logs of work orders (job cards)—both hard and soft copies in a chronological and traceable manner.Provide leadership to fellow mechanics and coach drivers.Manage the team of mechanics reporting to them to ensure optimum labor utilization.Repair trucks on need basis to meet agreed timelines.Participate in driver interviews on need basis.RequirementsQualificationsProven experience as a Workshop Supervisor or Mechanic of at least Five(5)years.Excellent knowledge of truck systems, machinery, hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their componentsAbility to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints, etc.A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelinesability, competence and certification to drive trucks up to 10 wheelersA diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering or related field is preferredSkills and competencieshands-on personality with good project management skillsProven data analysis skillsability to make data driven decisionsProven experience in using root cause analysis tools and techniquesopen, critical and proactive communication style about problem areasDrive and commitmentHonesty and integrityA problem-solving abilityAbility to make swift, informed decision to reduce MTTR on all trucks
