Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates to fill the above position at the National Police Service Commission Counseling unit.

9. ACCOUNTANT II-NPSC SCALE 4-ONE (1) POSITIONS- V/NO. 9/2021
Gross Salary Scale: Kshs. 90,000-130,000
Leave allowance: As existing in the Commission
Annual Leave: 30 working days per financial year
Medical Cover: As existing in the Commission
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

a) Duties and Responsibilities
i. Prepares payment vouchers and imprest warrant.
ii. Examination of vouchers and committal documents in accordance with laid down rules and regulations
iii. Sorts and Files accounting records and documents
iv. Posts payments and receipts in the cash book on daily basis
v. Maintains and updates voucher movement registers
vi. Updates and maintains imprest registers
vii. Invoices of payment vouchers and imprests in the IFMIS
viii. Prepares and updates receipts and payment schedules
ix. Processes requests for daily subsistence allowances
b) Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this position, one must have:
i. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Accounting or Finance
ii. Have at least CPA II or its equivalent.
iii. Proficiency in computer applications.
iv. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
